In the past years I have purchase many Blu-ray discs, and I need to get chapters and music I like from some Blu-ray contents and make them into my own film. Then how to import Blu-ray movie to Final Cut Pro to make some editings?
Answer:
Blu-ray movies are becoming more and more popular in recent years which offer high-definition images for us. However, still now, Apple might not be ready to add Blu-ray to its Mac computers in FCP. As a result, I can’t work with Blu-ray content with FCP correctly and this issue has confused me a lot, but luckily now I have found my way out, and I would share the experience here:
To successfully import Blu-ray movies to Apple Final Cut Pro to make your own masterpiece, the best way is to convert Blu-ray to Apple ProRes codec which is the best supported video format by FCP.

4. If you hope to retain the maximum possible quality of your camera footage, the Apple ProRes 4444 (*.mov) is the ideal format.
