HEVC normally exists 4K Blu-ray. But for some Blu-ray Players which only can play HD Blu-ray which is encoded with AVC, VC-1, MPEG 2, they don’t support HEVC codec like below:

"Hi all, I have a Sony BDP-S1200 Blu-ray player with latest firmware which support h.264 codec but not h.265 (HEVC). Is there any plan to add HEVC codec in this player? Thanks in advance."

It may take some time to add H.265 into Sony BDP-S1200 Blu-ray player, so when you need to play HEVC video on it, you can make your H.265 files to H.264 which it currently support.
