“I own a large 2D and 3D Blu-ray collection. The movies are watched almost every day by a member of the family. Will it be possible to digitize these Blu-ray discs on my Mac and play on a laptop hooked to a TV or out side in the home theater? Really worry about disc scratch and damage…”

To solve the above issue, one of the best practices you can have is to create lossless backups of physical Blu-ray disc that you own on Mac — and enjoy viewing the digital copies while keeping the originals safe. While, as Macs users well know, OS X still doesn’t support Blu-ray playback, nor has any Mac shipped with a drive capable of even reading or burning data on a Blu-ray disc. Mar 24, 2015 08:34 am / Posted by Diana Joan | Categories: Blu-ray, VR Headsets

So I watched a YouTube of some dude casting his Gear VR screen to a TV, so of course a few hours later I’m back from Best Buy hooking mine up. My test Chromecasting Blu-ray ISO from Gear VR onto my PlasmaTV was cool so that I want to share my experience here.

I do own a large Blu-ray collection (a few DVDs) and all the discs are save in ISO on my 4TB external drive. ISO file plays the same as original disc and not as scratchy as physical discs; it also help me make room for the storage at home. So my test started in two steps:

1. Transfer ISO to Gear VR on my Mac. 2. Chromecast ISO from Gear VR to TV.How to transfer ISO to Samsung Gear VR with Galaxy Note 4?

Mar 24, 2015 08:34 am / Posted by Diana Joan | Categories: Blu-ray

Oculus Rift Development Kit 2 represents a significant improvement over DK1. For DK2, the screen has been upgraded to an OLED model running 1920 x 1080, or 960 x 1080 per eye, which is precisely 2.25x more pixels. Nowadays, many customers bought Oculus Rift DK2 to play high-definition 3D movies on it and now what I am trying is to put 2D/3D Blu-ray, DVD and ISO onto the DK2.

You can indeed watch any movie on the DK2 in pretty much any format you wish (.MKV, .MP4, .AVI etc). However, Oculus Rift DK2 do not include a drive for playing Blu-ray/DVDs; Commercial BD/DVD discs usually are protected from copying; the ISO files are back-ward supported by DK2. So what’s the solution for copying 2D/3D Blu-ray, DVD and ISO to Oculus Rift DK2?

With a 3D Blu-ray Ripper, you can rip 2D/3D Blu-ray, DVD and ...
