Dolby TrueHD is a lossless multi-channel audio codec developed by Dolby Laboratories which is used in home-entertainment equipment such as 4K Blu-ray Disc. Dolby TrueHD offers up to 7.1 discrete channels of lossless audio. Along with adding two extra rear channels to the standard Dolby Digital formats, Dolby TrueHD 4K Blu-ray discs are encoded with more audio information per channel. How to Rip 4K Blu-ray with Dolby TrueHD 7.1 Audio?
Step 1. Load 4K Blu-ray
Download, install and run Pavtube ByteCopy, and click the “Load from Disc”icon to import movie files from 4K Blu-ray Disc.

Step 2: Choose lossless MKV to output
To rip 4k Blu-ray to lossless MKV keeping Dolby TrueHD 7.1 audio, select “Multi-track Video” > “Lossless/encoded Multi-track MKV(*.mkv)”, In this way you will get lossless audio streams without transcoding from original BD disc to MKV format.
Step 3. Check MKV codec and choose Blu-ray audio
Click “Settings” to open “Multi-task Settings” window, click “Audio” tab, check “Encode” and change Audio channel from Stereo to 7.1 to get encoded MKV files with Dolby TrueHD 7.1 audio saved. But you should make sure that the original Blu-ray disc contains TrueHD 7.1 audio, otherwise, you still can not get Dolby TrueHD 7.1 audio saved.
