NVIDIA 980TI: Rip 30-40GB Blu-Ray to 7-15GB H.265/HEVC MKV

You can copy Blu-ray to ISO images to protect your discs with the original video and audio quality. But the size will be also nearly original. To get the smallest size, the best way is to rip Blu-ray to HEVC/H.265 video cause H.265 can compress video twice than H.264/AVC codec with the same picture quality. Generally, a 30-40GB can be compressed to 7-15GB in H.265/HEVC MKV. Some people would worry that it will cost too much time in that HEVC encoding is CPU heavy.

If you are using NVIDIA 980TI, you won’t need to worry that. NVIDIA 980TI supports HEVC encoding acceleration.
