Blu-ray to NAS: Easily Rip and Put Blu-ray collection to NAS server for backup

Having ripped all my Blu-rays to a NAS I would now like to rip my Blu-rays so I can watch them over my home network on various Ethernet enabled TVs. My questions are…1 can this be done legally. 2 what ripping software is recommended and 3 what storage does a regular blu ray movie require on the NAS?

Follow the Guide below to rip Blu-ray onto NAS for backup

Note: A BD drive is needed before conversion

STEP 1. Add Blu-ray files

Launch the Blu-ray ripping program for NAS devices . Then click “Load Blu-ray ” to import the Blu-ray files you want to convert. To select the subtitles you like, simply click Subtitle and select the one you prefer.

STEP 2. Choose an output format

Click Format bar and choose your desired format.

a. If you want to transfer Blu-ray to NAS retaining Blu-ray quality and you have a lot of spare space, you can choose directly copy. It will copy your Blu-ray into m2ts. Make sure your media streamer can read m2ts files first.

b. If you want to store hundreds of Blu-ray’s on NAS, then rip the Blu-ray to .avi, .mp4, .mkv, etc compressed format. To keep 1080p resolution as source movie, choose HD MP4/MKV format.
