Windows Media Player, also known as WMP, is a media player and media library utility installed by default with Microsoft Windows operating system. It accepts a variety of video, audio files such as WMV, AVI, MPG, MP4 as input, as well as audio CDs, data CDs, and data DVDs. Have some video_ts files from DVD discs or from movie sharing sites and want to play them with Windows Media Player?

Android gadget have grown rapidly in popularity nearly these years. I’m just one of those Android users, and would prefer to view my favorite DVD movies on Android tablet/phone in the car. However, I confronted with an obstacle that I cannot watch DVD movies on Android directly. Well, what I need to do it is to find a tool to rip DVD to Android player supported MKV format first before transferring.

PS3/PS4 is far more than a video game console, it can be served as a good portable device for video enjoyment. Until now, there are many issues of playing ISO files on PS3/PS4 from PlayStation Support and forum.

“I have some old home movies I put transfered from VHS to a recordable DVD player. I’ve made a backup .iso from the DVD, but I’m not sure if this is only happening to me but when I click on the movie it “load” into my PS3 but just stays at a black screen? Anyone else having this problem? Will I be able to extract ISO files to PS3/PS4 via the USB connection without any issue?”



The point here is, PS3/PS4 can play H.264, MPEG-4, AVI, WMV video files from USB drive, but ISO files are not supported...

Considering its generous hardware specifications, Synology DS414 is a huge step forward. It offers a centralized backup target to consolidate fragmented and unstructured data across a network. Since it is not convenient to play DVD with hardware DVD player, many users like to backup DVD for transferring to Synology DS414 for playback.

I got a NAS device (Synology DS414) last week, finding that it has a steep learning curve, lots of settings and privelages to play with.
